All Maine entrepreneurs interested in growing their innovations to bring them to market are invited to attend the next Maine Technology Institute workshop to learn more about the state and federal funding and resources available to them.
The March 12, 2013 Belfast workshop will include:
Federal Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer Research (SBIR/STTR) Grants
A $2.5 billion federal funding program where agencies request applications for R & D to help meet mission needs. Federally funded SBIR/STTR Program topics include Defense, Health, Energy, Agriculture, Transportation, Education and more.
MTI’s Business Innovation Program
Funding from $5,000 to $500,000 for business planning, market research, intellectual property filing, prototype development or later-stage research & development activities for technology-based business ventures.
University of Maine Innovation Engineering and Resources
Including labs and equipment available for research & development efforts.
