Coast of Maine Organic Products merges, will expand in Mid-Atlantic

Carlos Quijano started Coast of Maine Organic Products in 1996, turning waste into soil that could be sold through gardening stores and retailers like Whole Foods. The company reported it has merged with Frey Brothers Inc. of Quarryville, Pa.
