Maine Technology Institute collects personal information identifiable to specific users solely for the purpose of sending email communications if those users have requested to be included on our email list through the contact form on our website. MTI will treat the user information as confidential information under MTI’s laws, and will seek user express permission before sharing the information with a third party, unless we are legally required to do so, for example, in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process.
Through our web service provider, certain information is automatically collected, including internet service provider (ISP), internet protocol (IP) address, date and time stamp, referring or exit pages, and clickstream data. This information does not specifically identify individual users and may be used only to generate overall user statistics using Google Analytics and for general site administration.
The Maine Technology Institute website has embedded links that lead to a funding application portal serviced by a contracted service provider. Information submitted by applicants using that portal is not submitted through the MTI website and is not subject to this policy statement, instead being subject to the MTI laws concerning confidentiality of MTI funding application information, including the provisions that authorize disclosure of applicant name, principal contact name, applicant address, type of funding and amount of funding requested, amount awarded and date awarded (where applicable), and the non-confidential project summary required of each project.
